Trick-or-Treat Rules of Engagement

Balls Creek Campground will be having its annual Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 24, 5:00 - 6:30pm. 

FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY, UNLESS YOU ARE A TENT OWNER SETTING UP, DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY!

The address is 2090 Buffalo Shoals Rd. Catawba, NC 28609.

For those attending:

• This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents are required to accompany minor children.
• Campground rules still apply - no drinking, drugs, or animals of any sort. Please share this information with any friends you may invite.
• Candy donations for those that can't participate in the trick-or-treat event can be made at tent 71 after 3pm on October 24th.
• porta-potties will be brought in for the event and will be located in the arbor area.
• PARKING INFORMATION:  ONLY tent owners will be allowed to park behind tents. Parking for tent owners, including in the arbor area and along Buffalo Shoals Road will be open until 4pm. The arbor access gates will be closed at 4pm and will not open again until 6:30pm, so please plan accordingly.

Tent Owner Information:

• Tent owners - you are welcome and encouraged to decorate your tent for the event! We'd love to see your creativity! This is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY event, so no super-scary decorations, please!
• if you want to donate candy to the cause, you can drop it by tent 71 after 3pm on 10/24.
• the water will NOT be turned on. (The Campground is on city water and is only turned on for the month leading up to campmeeting and a week after.)
• porta-potties will be brought in for the event and will be located in the arbor area.
• the electricity to the campground is never turned off. If you wish to use electricity for the trick-or-treat you can turn the power on in your tent. You will be charged by Duke Power for your electrical use.
• ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN FLAMES! If you have a jack-o-lantern or something similar, please use only electric lights
• PLEASE TAKE ALL TRASH WITH YOU AFTER THE EVENT! We do not have trash service this time of year.
• There will be some photo-ops in the arbor area. Check those out!
